My time at Echometer

A few things about me ☀️
- Studying business psychology in Osnabrück (5th semester)
- An intern for 3 months (beginning of August to end of October)
- Compulsory internship as part of my study program
- Area: Sales + Marketing (& everything I liked and could do)
- Popular skill: baking cakes
How it all started
My studies include a three-month internship to gain some practical experience. Through a fellow student, I became aware of Echometer while searching for an internship and decided to apply. After a very nice conversation with Christian, it was clear that I would be working with the Echometer team from the beginning of August to the end of October.
“I’ve never been a fan of rigid and steep hierarchies. A start-up therefore seemed perfectly suited to me! Echometer exceeded my expectations.”

During the internship
During my internship, I had the opportunity to adapt my work tasks to my own interests and strengths. The whole team respected and valued my work and my opinion from day one.
My tasks were very diverse! To name a few examples:
- Writing blog posts: Feel free to check out some of the blog posts – you can find them on our homepage.
- Visualizations: I really enjoy working with graphics programs and I’m always happy when I get to design or create things. Here I worked a lot with Figma - I had never heard of it before.
- Trade fair preparation: Maybe you’ve heard of Zukunft Personal? This year I was allowed to help prepare it (designing the stand and the flyer).
- Newsletter creation: Echometer sends out a newsletter that informs users about news in and around the product.
- Echometer experience reports: This was a very cool way to get in touch with customers independently. In an interview, the customers reported on their experiences. Under Success Stories you can find everything else.
“My highlight was that I was allowed to work independently in all tasks and that the team trusted me - that is not a matter of course for me as an intern.”
What might also interest you:
You have the option of working from home as well as on site. That was a very cool option for me, as I commute from Osnabrück - although I always preferred to work on site, if only because of the team. ☀️
Team spirit!
By the way, my internship wasn’t just about work.
B.ouldering, B.eer, and B.ody building 🏋🏼♀️ were also a part of it! To translate: We did a little workout together around lunchtime - wakes you up and is also fun 💪🏻! Alternatively, just a cup of coffee or tea with a nice conversation and a piece of chocolate in between. 😊

My conclusion
Before my internship, I did not have the opportunity to work in a start-up and I am happy that, on the one hand, I was allowed to experience the start-up mentality as well as getting to know more about agile work structures could get to know.
Echometer is not only developing a software tool that strengthens the feedback culture, it is living feedback culture yourself too 🚀
All this was only possible because the team welcomed me so warmly! Thank you for helping me with all my tasks with help and advice! Who knows, maybe we’ll see each other again sometime 💚
Just apply :) It’ll be cool!
